Objectives: Identify requirements of ASU 2016-14 affecting the: Statement of Financial Position (or equivalent), Statement of Activities (or equivalent), Statement of Cash flows, Statement of Functional Expenses and Financial statement disclosures. Identify how recent changes to accounting requirements may affect nonprofit organizations including: Revenue recognition and Leases. Determine accounting requirements related to contributions and special events. Identify audit considerations related to nonprofit organizations.
Pre-Requisites: Experience with nonprofit financial reporting.

We will review the recent changes to financial reporting requirements and discuss potential solutions to implementation challenges. We will also address accounting standards for nonprofit organizations as well as considerations when auditing nonprofit organizations.
